Meet the Artist

Yorkville Studio is the creative work of artist and surface designer Sabrina Ramkhelawan, whose hand-drawn patterns reflect a personal journey: from the fast-paced, structured world of environmental consulting in Manhattan, to a more grounded, yet whimsical path in San Diego.

Now based in New Jersey, Sabrina focuses on inviting stillness and belonging in everyday life—infusing in her designs with the belief that new beginnings don’t erase the past, they build on it.

Yorkville origins

Yorkville Studio is named for Yorkville, Manhattan, the neighborhood where Sabrina bought her first apartment while growing a career in energy consulting. It was in this tiny space, between long days and quiet evenings, that she first sensed the tension between external success and inner stillness — a tension that eventually led her to seek a slower, more intentional life.

Sabrina’s move to California became a turning point, but not a full departure. Instead, she realized that creative entrepreneurship could be a way of holding both sides of her story: the nostalgia and energy in her New York roots, and the expansive opportunity that comes with a more grounded, creative path.

Every line a story, every pattern a journey.

Every line, curve and shade in Yorkville Studio designs embody Sabrina’s journey. They draw from memory and place, blending the softness of California’s natural textures with the structure and detail of her New York beginnings. Whether it's the sway of olive trees at golden hour or the elegance of a hidden pattern in a city skyline, each collection channels the emotional resonance of a moment.
